Curt Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ford Taurus- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Taurus, we're going to be test fitting the Curt roof mounted cargo basket, part number C18115. This measures 41-1/2 inches long, by 37 inches wide, by four inches deep. This has a carrying capacity of 150 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual, as well as your roof rack system, to make sure that they can withstand those weights.It does have a slanted design to it, along with a fairing, so the cargo basket itself will be relatively quiet while you travel. This is ideal for carrying a wide variety of items, but also helps out clearing space inside the vehicle, if your trunk is full, and you need to have people in side. This can also be used with sporting goods equipment, or even camping gear.It's very easy to install, and fits a wide variety of roof rack systems, and cross bar spreads, as well. It just simply has this U-bolt that clamps underneath, and this is covered with rubber here, and that's to help protect your roof rack system, so it doesn't get scratched up. more

Rhino Rack Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ford Taurus- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Taurus we're going to be test fitting the Rhino-Rack Roof Mounted Cargo Basket, part number RMCB. This measures 47" long by 35" wide by 6" tall from this point to the top. It does have a carrying capacity of 165 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual as well your roof rack system to make sure it can withstand those weights. What this is pretty much designed to do is take any excess you have that you can't fit inside your vehicle or to make more space for your vehicle, like your trunk is filled up, you need to put some additional luggage on top. This can also work with sporting goods equipment or camping equipment as well.How it attaches to your roof rack system, we have a kind of sandwich in between this bracket with the padding and this bracket up top. It does simply screw into place and it does come with the tool to do so. more

Thule Roof Basket Review - 2017 Ford Taurus- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2017 Ford Taurus, we're going to be test fitting the Thule Canyon XT Rooftop Cargo Basket, part number TX859XT. This measures 49 inches long by 40 inches wide by six inches tall at its tallest point here.This does have a carrying capacity of 150 pounds, but you always want to double check with your vehicle's manual to make sure your roof can withstand those weights. This is ideal for carrying excess luggage, camping gear, sporting goods equipment. Anything you want to keep outside the inside of your car, and if your trunk is full it gives you a little bit of extra storage as well.It's very easy to install. It just simply clamps around your existing roof rack system. Right now we have it around square bars, but this can also fit elliptical, round, and most factory roof racks as well. more

Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Cargo Basket Review - 2014 Ford Taurus- Video
Today on our 2014 Ford Taurus, we're going to be test fitting the Yakima Loadwarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, part number Y07070. With the Whispbar Through Bar Rack system already installed on our Taurus, we'll go ahead and place the rack onto the bars. Next we'll line up the clamps with the bars, swing the clamp onto the bar and secure it with a T-bolt on the other side. Now, I'll make sure and tighten down both the front and rear knobs securing that clamp to the bar. After that one's secured and lined up, we can go ahead and move to the other three positions. After repeating the tightening process at the other three positions, the rack is now secured to the car and it's ready to go. That'll conclude today's test fit of the Yakima Loadwarrior Roof Rack, part number Y07070 on our 2014 Ford Taurus. . more
